Dimapur, June 16 (MExN): Young Indians (YI) of Unity College, Dimapur organized a road safety awareness programme under the theme ‘Safe riding: my responsibility,’ in collaboration with Nagaland Motorcycle Club (NMC) on June 15, at the college lawn.
A press release issued by the Dean Students welfare, stated that the NMC exhorted the students to be responsible riders by using helmets and possessing proper riding gears, using the headlight and signal light for the right purpose at the right time.“Simple etiquettes like waving a hand or nodding of head as an acknowledgement to passerby can make a difference,” stated the NMC.
The students were also encouraged to develop a habit of safe riding, to respect the road and to be conscious of other fellow riders. ”Safe riding is our responsibility because there is someone who is always waiting for us at home,” it added.
