UNTABA discusses border issue with NNPGs Working Committee

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 22 (MExN): A team from the United Naga Tribes Association on Border Areas (UNTABA) consisting the Advisors, Executive Committee Members, Action Committee Members, Dimapur District GBs Association and concerned leaders from the Border Areas met all the leadership of the Working Committee of the Six Naga National Political Groups today at Dimapur and had an exhaustive discussions on the boundary issue between the State of Nagaland and Assam inter alia Re-transfer of Naga Lands in Assam to the present State of Nagaland. The UNTABA impressed that the issue needs to be settled only on the political level based on the historical facts and official documents. A press note from the UNTABA extended its appreciation to the Working Committee of the Six NNPGs for coming together under one umbrella “for the common good of Naga people and assured its co-operation as it considers for entering into political negotiation with the Government of India.” It further acknowledged the leadership of the Working Committee for “sparing their precious time to listen to the voice of the people on the issue.”
