UPHC Burma Camp & Duncan Bosti conduct free medical camp

Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) Burma Camp and UPHC Duncan Bosti in Dimapur conducted free medical camps in six colonies – Lotha colony, Lhomithi, Supply, Oriental, Kevijau, East block and Niu colony – under Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) jurisdiction during the month of September.  

A press note stated that the initiative was headed by the respective MO i/c of both UPHCs along with other NUHM staffs supported by the Urban ASHA. A total of 520 patients, including elderly people, pregnant women and children availed the free health services and medicines were distributed freely to the patients. DAPCU mobile ICTC team and Urban Malaria team also attended the camps and tested patients for HIV and malaria respectively.  

Counseling on proper nutrition and sanitation, importance of ANC & PNC checkup etc were provided to the people. The release noted that NUHM has coverage of 23 wards in Urban Dimapur and conducts free health camps every month within its respective jurisdiction.
