Ura Academy’s 48th annual seminar underway

A three day long 48th annual seminar of Ura Academy got underway here today at Ura Academy Hall.  

Gracing the introductory session here this afternoon, Timikha Koza, president Tenyimi People’s Organization stressed on the need to promote and propagate Tenyidie language at the various levels.  

He expressed happiness over the relentless effort of Ura Academy towards preservation and promotion of Tenyimi identity and Tenyidie language.  

Further, he called upon Tenyimi community to continue to maintain a sense of oneness and move forward in every aspect of life.  

Ura Academy president and former chief minister Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu released two Tenyidie book written by Neiwetso Mekrisuh and Prof. D. Kuolie.  

Academic achievers in Tenyidie were also honoured with awards.  

K. Seyie and representative from Angami Public Organization also exhorted the gathering.  

The function was chaired by Daso Paphino while Rev. Tsolie Chase delivered welcome address.  

Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Khriivolii.  

Meanwhile, a workshop and interactive session will take place on May 24 from 10:00 AM onwards for Ura Academy Riipfhiinuo (all Tenyidie MA, PhD holders).  

It will focus on the objectives of Tenyidie studies and teaching challenges in Nagaland, attitude, ethics, and teaching techniques by Pheluopfhelie Kesiezie and Prof. Buno Liegise.
