Ura College of Teacher Education induction day held

Kohima, August 12 (MExN): The Ura College of Teacher Education held its 5th induction day on August 11 under the theme ‘Initium Novum’ with Professor Dr. Buno Liegise, Dean, School of Humanities and Education, NU Meriema Campus as the speaker.  

With the ever growing of technology, the skill of ICT is needed to be effective teachers, she said, while adding that everything cannot be learned through technology. Some are learned through discussion, participation and involvement. In the B.Ed Course, team spirit, tolerance and adjustments are needed for an effective teacher, stated Prof. Dr. Buno Liegise. She further stressed on respecting student teachers, and having a good rapport between management, administrations and teaching faculties. Knowledge become powerful only when it is activated, she added.  

Angelo Pfithu, Vice President UCTE gave greeting note on behalf of the Union and expressed the grievances faced by the Union in particular and asked the authority concerned to fulfill the demands. Principal Dr. Etsemo Odyuo gave welcome address in the programme, which was chaired by Yanthunglo Kikon.
