Various trainings for govt employees held

Kohima, March 2 (MExN): Various government departments conducted training for officers and staffs in the last two months.


A one-day training on office procedure and service Establishment for officers and staff of Chief Engineer’s Office, Water Resources Department under Capacity Building Programme was conducted on January 23, a DIPR release stated. Renchamo Lotha, Rtd. Addl. Secretary was the resource person.


Welcome and keynote address was delivered by Er. Tsuktinungsang, Chief Engineer, WRD. Altogether, 44 staff participated in the training. The training was primarily on the guidelines of Office procedure, Service Establishment and other subject matters.


On January 29 and 30, training on driving skills and etiquette for drivers was held in the Conference Hall of Chief Engineer’s Office in two batches. Bendang Longchar, Motor Vehicle Officer (MVO) from Transport Dept. was the resource person. The keynote address was delivered by Er. Wapangnaro Imchen, Executive Engineer, WRD. Fifty three drivers participated in the training programme.


A one-day training on Audit and Accounts Matter for officers & staff of WRD was also held on February 15 in the conference Hall of Chief Engineer’s Office with Shankar KR Thakur as the resource person.


Forty three of participants from all Divisions (WRD) attended the training.


Topics on maintenance of account, maintenance of stock register and maintenance of asset & records for work implementation were covered.
