Vigilance & Monitoring team visits IWMP project site

Dimapur, November 22 (MExN): Members of the Vigilance & Monitoring committee on November 18 visited the IWMP project site at Kigwema for an on the spot verification of the different activities.
Some of the activities are the entry point activity (epa), pomegranate plantation, plum/peach and Kiwi plantation and other land development activities of soil and moisture conservation works, such as water harvesting structures, bench terracing and contour bunds undertaken by the Department of Land Resource during 2010-2011 and 2011-2012.
The team included of Medokul Sophie Ex-MLA, S. Richard Humtsoe and Hayithung Bill Lotha, Nagaland State, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, along with Pidemo Lotha, Rural Development and the Project Officer Puvil Kikhi and Ketholeno Neikha, staff of Land Resources Department  Earlier in the morning, a meeting was conducted in Hotel Cimorb Conference Hall by the RD (Vigilance), the following Officers from various departments, DWO -  Social Welfare; PD, DPO, SO, JE - Rural Development; EE, SDO - PWD; EE, SDO - PHED & DPO and PO (Dte)- Land Resources attended the meeting.
