Kohima, January 19 (DIPR): The 72nd Viswema Youth Organisation Wrestling Meet was held on January 19 at John Government Higher Secondary School Ground, Viswema. Registrar, Directorate of Soil & Water Conservation, Tebul Neikha graced the inaugural programme as the Chief Guest.
Vitsoto Vitsu emerged as the champion in the senior category and walked away with cash prize of Rs. 20,000. Kevime Vitsu, Zhavito Rhütso and Keselvi Mekro claimed the second, third and fourth prizes respectively.
Avi Chaya emerged as the champion in the junior category Under-17 years. He was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 5000. Keletho Sothu, Vikrükho Koso and Kikrokhrüto Khrieo claimed the second, third and fourth prizes respectively.
A total of 20 wrestlers participated in the senior category and 15 wrestlers in the junior category. The invocation for the inaugural programme was pronounced by Rev. Hosato Kiso, Senior Pastor, Viswema Baptist Church.
The Oath was administered by Vikekul Sothu, Games & Sports Secretary, VYO and vote of thanks was given by Puthuto Vitsu, Information & Public Secretary VYO.
