Vodafone launches 4G service in Kohima

Our Correspondent Kohima | January 17   Vodafone India, one of the leading telecommunication services providers today launched its Vodafone SuperNet 4G service in Nagaland.   The 4G launch in Kohima follows the successful launch of Vodafone SuperNet 4G services in Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar, Bongaigaon and Guwahati in Assam, and Aizawl in Mizoram over the past few days.   Unveiling the launch of 4G in Kohima at a function held at Hotel de Oriental Grand, Nagaland’s chief secretary Pankaj Kumar lauded Vodafone for launching this service and hoped that things will become easier for the people through this. He also wanted to see that the coverage of the service also reaches other major towns and rural areas of the state.   Nagaland’s DG (Prison) Rupin Sharma, who also addressed the launching service as the guest of honour, was appreciative of Vodafone for extending 4G service in Kohima. He also felt the need for coverage in the rural areas of the state. He also wanted to see that proper system is put into place to avoid misuse and cyber crime is controlled.   Announcing the launch of Vodafone SuperNet 4G service in Kohima, Alok Verma, Business Head-Assam & North East Circle, Vodafone India said “As a steadfast partner to Digital India, we are delighted to launch Vodafone SuperNET 4G in Kohima, the capital city of Nagaland. Verma also announced that Vodafone India will soon expand 4G service across Nagaland as well as other parts of Assam and North East in a phased manner. “We invite our data savvy customers in Kohima to make the most of the bonanza of special benefits being offered to enjoy the best mobile internet experience,” he added.   Vodafone SuperNet 4G launch in Kohima, follows the successful rollout of services in Kerala, Karnataka, Kolkata, Delhi & NCR, Mumbai, Haryana, UP East, Gujarat, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, UP (W), Assam & North East and Punjab circles.   With launches planned shortly in Goa and Chennai, Vodafone SuperNet 4G coverage will be available in 2400 towns across the country by March 2017. These 17 circles where Vodafone will offer 4G service contribute over 90% of Vodafone India’s data revenues.   According to Vodafone India official press note, the state-of-the-art network will enable Vodafone SuperNet 4G customers to access high speed internet across a range of smart devises including Mi-Fi & dongles. Vodafone 4G services can be readily accessed from 4G enabled handsets, offered by leading smartphone manufacturers and available across the country.   Vodafone SuperNet 4G will significantly enhance the mobile internet experience for customer with faster download/upload of videos and music, seamless video chats and will also felicitate greater ease in using their favorite apps. Customers will also adore feature like high definition video streaming, mobile gaming and two-way video calling, the official released stated.
