Vongva village Council Hall inaugurated

PUNGRO, January 16 (MExN): Nagaland State Advisor of Evaluation, National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), T. Torechu has called on people to shoulder the responsibilities of developmental aspects through ‘unity and peace’ within the village and with neighbouring villages.

Speaking at the inauguration of Council Hall at Vongva village on January 3 last, Torechu urged the village council to co-operate and work hard with sincerity and commitment and maintain utmost ‘transparency and accountability’ for the successful promotion of socio–economic development of the rural peoples.

Torechu urged upon the people to emulate the spirit of brotherhood and to look ahead with vision so that more development can reach the far-flung areas in future. He also urged the people to work with positive attitude in every developmental aspect in order to uplift and take the area forward.

“Without peaceful environment and unity, there can be no development,” Torechu stated and in this regard, called for cooperation with each other and with the government for the common benefit of society.
