WASA 50th Annv enters 4th day

Sechü Zubza | January 14 : The 50th anniversary of Western Angami Sports Association (WASA) has entered the fourth day here today with Wokha Deputy Commissioner Rovilato Mor as host of honour. Speaking on the occasion, Mor greeted the WASA 50th Anniversary on its 4th Day of the tournament. He also expressed his hope that the players can excel and can become good players in Archery as “we are good hunters by nature since time immemorial and hence almost everyone knew the art of shooting. “He advised the players not to involve in all the games but should focus in the field where one is doing well so that one can become more professional and proficient in the particular field. He further advised the organizers and players to get access to the latest technologies so that they can keep up with the rest of the world.
Meanwhile, in Football (men), Group D emerged as winner after beating Group B 1-0 while in football (women), Group B defeated Group D 1-0 to win the championship title. In Volleyball (men), Group B stood as champions and Group D as runners up while in volleyball (women), Group B emerged as winner and Group C as runners up.
The tourney will conclude on January 15 with Er. Vikho-o Yhoshü, MLA, Advisor, Information Technology & Communications as the chief guest and Angami Sports Association as match patron. Naga Wrestling will start from 10:00 AM onwards on January 15.
