‘Wings of Passion’ collection of play released

Som Kamei, IPS, Director Postal Service, Meghalaya releases Arenla Subong’s book ‘Wings of Passion.’
  Dimapur, March 11 (MExN): Minkong Ola, a variety show was held on March 10 at Abiogenesis Centre in Dimapur The highlight of the evening was the launch of Arenla Subong’s book ‘Wings of Passion’ which is a collection of four of her plays. Firstly, video clippings of ‘Lichaba’s Daughter’ and ‘Big Time Buddies’ , two films already made from the book were screened.   Som Kamei, IPS, Director Postal Service, Meghalaya, who is also the ex Director of NEZCC launched the book. Arenla Subong, the author and Dr. Asangla, publisher and owner of Heritage Publishing House spoke in turns.   Earlier, the anchor, Yanpo Humtsoe opened the show by welcoming everyone and announced the first performer Along Imsong who presented two songs. Next performer was Saronthong Kikon from Kohima who also sang two songs. Kuyingpong Culture Society, led by Guru Shiromong presented a variety of cultural items like action songs, drama and dances.   The last band to take the stage was Brownie Box led by Akihito, former front man of UDX and presented three bluesy songs to wind off the show.
