Wokha, January 19 (MExN): Consequent upon the announcement of the General Election, the Model Code of Conduct came into immediate effect and will be in force till the completion of the General Election. Accordingly as per the ECI guidelines, the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon has directed the removal of defacement of public property and misuse of public spaces/defacement of private property in the forms of ‘unauthorized’ wall writing/posters/paper or defacement of private property in any other form, cutout, hoardings, banners, flags within 24 hours and 72 hours respectively.
Further all HoDs under Wokha have been directed to submit the list of work as under – a) List of works which has already been started on ground. b) List of fresh work which has not started on ground.
The aforementioned list should be submitted on or before 2:00 pm of January 20, a press release from the DC & DEO Wokha stated.
