Wokha, September 20 (MExN): Health & Family Welfare, District Monitoring and Supervision team visited Sanis, Bhandari, Nyiro and Englan block health units on September 19 and 20.
The purpose of the visit was mainly focused on the upcoming Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign which is scheduled to be launched State wide on October 3, Peer assessment on KAYAKALP, and Food Safety.
According to a press release, the team interacted with the Medical Officers, and medical staffs pertaining to health services and facilities available at the facility, the team encouraged them to be regular in report sending, proper documentation of all activities which is undertaken at the health centre, grievances and problems were also shared by the MOs and staffs, which was noted by the district team.
The district team checked all the registers which has to be duly maintained, peer assessment on KAYAKALP-initiating hospital cleanliness, hygiene and infection control practices were done, MRVC preparedness by the health units carrying out sensitization of the block administration Officials, parents teachers, ASHAs, AWWs and the community were monitored.
The team also sensitized the Food Business Organisation to obtain food license and medical fitness certificate, the offences and penalties under various Sections of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, Food Standards Act 2006.
