Workshop on Consumer Protection Act in Tuensang

Tuensang, September 4 (DIPR): The interim governing body of Chamber of Commerce & Industries (COC&I) Tuensang under the leadership of Dorothy and Nasset organized a workshop on Consumer Protection Act at Town Hall, Tuensang. It was attended by shopkeepers of Tuensang, NGOs, and citizens of the town. Brig. MS Siddhu, DIG, 7 Sector Assam Rifles, who was the chief guest, encouraged the gathering to get well acquainted with the consumer acts and right terming them basic necessity for livelihood. Col. AH Khan, Additional DG, 7 Sector Assam Rifles spoke on entrepreneurship and its necessity for the expansion of the local economy, while Depak Dayal, Commandant, 40 AR also spoke on the prevention of HIV and drug abuse in Nagaland.

Other speakers were President CKS, President TVCU, FSO CMO, and officials from Department of Legal Meteorology & Consumer Protection and Department of Taxes. The second session dwelt on Consumer Protection Acts and Rights, which was conducted with the help of NSLSA and TSLSA officials.
