World Cup used to garner goodwill

Kohima | June 13

Nagaland State Youth Resources & Sports (YR&S) Adviser, Er Zale Neikha today distributed a set each of projector, screen, inverter with battery and Tata Sky box to seven villages for local fans to watch the World Cup matches.

 

Youth organizations of Sakhabama, Kezo Town, Kezo Basa, Kezoma, Kidima, Khuzama and Viswema under 15th Southern Angami –11 A/C obtained a set each at the distribution function held at Viswema Village Panchayat Hall this morning.

 

Stating that he had made available such facility from his own side, Neikha hoped that local fans would join the World Cup festivities along with the rest of the world.

 

To commemorate the year long celebrations of the centennial birth anniversary of Late Dr T. Ao, the World Cup will be telecast live in Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung and Mon.

 

In Kohima, a giant screen (20X12) would be set up at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground). Before live-streaming of the opening ceremony, a brief programme will take place at 6: 00pm on June 14 by highlighting the life sketch of Dr. T Ao through documentary film.
