World Senior Citizens Day observed in Dimapur

Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): To commemorate World Senior Citizens Day, a programme was organized by House of Friendship Old Age Home in association with Rotary Club of Dimapur and Inner Wheel Club Dimapur on August 21 at HOF Old Age Home, Dimapur.

A press release issued by Ashok Agarwal, President Rotary Club of Dimapur stated that the programme was graced by Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur Kevekha Kevin Zehol and attended by more than 125 elderly people.

Addressing the gathering, DC Dimapur expressed gratitude that the generation will always remember their immense contribution in shaping the destiny of the society that we live in and also honoured the sectarian on behalf of the organizers.

A specialized free health check up for senior citizen was also conducted by a team of five doctors comprising of General physicians, ENT, Ophthalmologist and Dentist. Free medicines were also distributed to the patients.
