Kanchan Mittal, pastor from Punjab was the main speaker during the morning service of ongoing Sumi Healing Festival at NER Agri Expo Site, 4th mile Dimapur on November 16.

Kanchan who also runs a ministry called ‘Kanchan Mittal Ministry’, shared her life testimony with the congregation prior to her sermon. Growing up from a non-Christian family and environment, she started her search for true God at an early age of 4 year. She told the congregation that God has been using her life to work for His great Commission right after she accepted Christianity.

Mittal said that God is working in great speed for the salvation of His people. She added that God is greatly moving around the people of Punjab and that the followers are increasing everyday by accepting Christ.

The speaker told the congregation that she felt cold when she arrived in Nagaland and explained that God does not like a cold soul. “It is the will of God that we burn like fire and stay warm,” said Mittal adding that she did not feel the fire when she arrived.

The speaker who is visiting the state for the first time said that God has brought the fire at the programme and added that one would not go back empty handed without receiving the blessings. She said that God is still the same today and does not change and will never change His love for His people.

She also told the congregation that God wants the Naga people to truly believe in Him spiritually and not just for ‘religious’ sake because God has planned to make great change in the lands of Nagas.

A video presentation of the Kanchan Mittal Ministry was also shown at the programme. The Festival under the theme ‘Heal us O Lord’ is being organised by the Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (WSBAK) and is open to all irrespective of community and denomination.
