Tuensang, September 16 (MExN): In a major boost for the farmers of the rural areas for the agricultural activities, the VDB of Yali village received Tractor from the government of Nagaland which was listed in the Nagaland VDB Awards Winner 2017.
A press release said that the dedication progamme in honour of award was held at community hall Yali village on September15. During the programme, Project Director DRDA Tuensang, Tsalito Sangtam encouraged upon the VDB members to utilize judiciously for the survival and common benefits of the cultivators.
Others who spoke at the programme included president VCC/ VDB union Noksen block, Exe-chairman VCC/ VDB Union Tuensang district N. Kaimang and Asst. Engineer DRDA Tuensang Sangnyu Chang. Dedicatory prayer for Tractor was pronounced by pastor Rev. M. Chollen.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Citizen Secretary N. Imti while invocation was pronounced by L. Yanchu Ex- VCC. Welcome address was delivered by H. Hongsa GB. Vote of thanks was proposed by VDB Secretary I. Takam Chang while Yali Müttou I/c M. Hopong presented a special number.
