YOCW training begins in Mon

Mon, July 17 (DIPR): The training under Year of Construction Workers (YOCW) 2017 for Mon district began on July 17 at ITI, Mon. Deputy Commissioner of Mon, W. Honje Konyak said that Mon district has enough man power, but the only thing required is skill up-gradation. He appreciated the nodal department for giving skill training, which he said will be of great benefit for the trainees.


“If our district labour have skills then it will be sufficient for self employment,” he stated, and urged the trainers to give detailed training and impart skills and knowledge to the participants. Jt. Director & Convenor, Monitoring & Evaluation YOCW, Lotum said that the training will be for self employment and to have a proper knowledge on construction.


Chairman of Kohima based Zynorique Initiatives, Richard Belho said that the training will cover fifteen topics within six days on construction and related matters. Participants will be given Assistant Mason Certificate after completion of the training, he added. The programme was chaired by Principal, ITI, Mon Er. H. Alongse. The training is organized by the Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurs, Government of Nagaland.
