'Youth should act towards change, development'

The Youth Association Marepkong ward in Mokokchung joined in the Moatsü celebrated by Aos across the state by organizing a 'Moatsu Mong' at Marepkong playground.  

O. Imti. Longkumer, Deputy Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, the chief guest at the festival appreciated the efforts of the youth in organizing such a programme and said it was a good effort to preserve and maintain our cultural heritage. He said that the youth as pressure groups should act towards change and development and keep check on the working of various departments and agencies. He also spoke about how the Nagaland government under Chief Minister TR Zeliang was working towards changes and development and towards a long lasting peace solution between the government of India and the Nagas.

The programme witnessed different cultural items presented by Watsu unit Marepkong, Sangtam Union, Mokokchung and Youth association Marepkong. The chairman, Marepkong ward, Toshikaba and Vice-president Ao Student's Conference, Akummeren and Longrikaba also spoke on the occasion.
