Zisaji Presidency College celebrates Foundation cum Fresher’s Day

Zisaji Presidency College (ZPC), Kiphire held its 21st Foundation cum Fresher’s Day with Col. Aditya Verma, Commandant, 7 Assam Rifles as chief guest at its college auditorium on July 10.  

The chief guest encouraged the students to have an aim in life so that it will give them the right direction to success. Also advising the students, he asked them to work hard if they wish to be successful in life since “we are living in a world where there is competition everywhere.”  

Aditya further encouraged the students to join the army and assured his help and support, if needed, for the same. Meanwhile, he pledged his support towards the growth of the college and promised to construct playground in the new campus site of ZPC.  

Helen Jamir, Principal of the college welcomed the gathering and highlighted the progress of the college. “The college cannot be shifted to the new campus due to infrastructure problem,” she said and appealed to the citizens to extend all possible support to shift the college to the new site.  

She also congratulated the students who have joined the college and advised them to give their best during the student life and also asked them to work hard to bring good name to the college.  

Dr Purna, Vice Principal, ZPC gave a brief account of the college. He said that in the year 1977 the college started with 46 students but today it has good number of students.  

ZPCA Association President Thousihseh Katiry exhorted the students and advised them to be sincere and dedicated in one’s studies as their main priority is to study.  

Later, Setila and Atsaba were declared Miss and Mr Fresher 2017 respectively. Kumcholila and team presented drama.
