ZSUN felicitates students

Jalukie, July 11 (MExN): Zeme Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) felicitated the meritorious and passed students of HSLC, HSSLC, and graduates on July 10 at JTWWO conference hall, Jalukie Town.

Dr. Tumda Newme, who was the special guest, congratulated the students for their achievements. He encouraged them to have set goals and aims to become someone great in life, according to a press release received here. Asserting that nothing can be achieved without hard work and sincerity, Dr. Tumda called upon every student to be obedient, sincere, hard working and dedicate oneself to their duty and responsibility.  

He further pointed out the impact of internet and social media on students and youths and stated one should be aware of unhealthy and unproductive things available around and prioritize tasks to achieve one’s goals.  

Meanwhile, ZSUN general secretary Deichungbe Zeme celebrated the moment with great pride, stating it is a moment of happiness and triumph for the Zeme people. In his keynote address, he also asked the students to complain less and instead be more passionate in carrying out their duties and help the society in improving the quality of life. He further encouraged the students to foresee a brighter future by prioritizing their studies with full efforts and determination.  

Kalak, NAFO president also exhorted the students to strive for greater achievements and stated students should not take their studies lightly. Maintaining that “the pillar of the society lies in the future of the students,” he encouraged them to be more attentive and become productive and qualitative leaders, the release said.  

Executive Secretary ZBA (AMN), Rev. Sahingmak Newme also congratulated all the successful candidates and said prayer of blessings for them.  

Earlier, in the opening remarks, Amua Francis Pame, ZSUN vice president gave a warm welcome and introduction to the gathering. He also congratulated the meritorious students for their hard work and dedication.  

The programme was chaired by Peiningbe, ZSUN joint secretary.
