The Nagaland registered vehicle which was hit by a truck at Lahorijan, Assam on January 10. On person was killed while three were injured.

One person was killed and 3 others were injured in a road mishap at Lahorijan, Karbi Anglong on January 9. The car they were travelling in was allegedly hit by an oncoming truck at NH 29, near the cremation ground.
According to sources, the victims were residents of Dimapur and were returning from Deopani when a truck hit the car head on at around 2:00-2:30pm. The deceased victim, identified as Rohit Jaiswal, was driving and he succumbed on the way to hospital. The injured, a family of three, survived with injuries and were admitted to a hospital in Dimapur.
The truck had also allegedly hit another vehicle just prior to hitting the ill-fated car. The trucker was said to have been arrested by the Assam Police. The sources added that the deceased victim’s body was taken to Diphu for post-mortem.
