Dimapur, June 14 (MExN): ACAUT Nagaland on Sunday extended support towards the demand of the NEAN and NJDA for immediate revocation of the State Cabinet decision, stating that it infringes into the fundamental right, of equality before law for deserving and qualified citizens.
An ACAUT press release stated that the State Cabinets decision to regularize the post of contractual doctors was “smirked with dictatorial diktat that infringe into the fundamental right, of equality before law for deserving and qualified citizens.”
The flimsy justification of “one time relaxation of laid down rules and procedures” is blatant nepotism which was pre-meditated to take undue advantage of the pandemic situation, it alleged.
Citing the judgement passed on a Writ Petition filed by ACAUT in 2017 challenging backdoor appointments and regularizations, ACAUT reasoned that “the recent State Cabinet decision amounts to contempt of Court.” It appealed to all right thinking citizens to “be ready to support our frontline health workers’ until this arbitrary Order is revoked.”
