After MI, Rajasthan Royals come calling for Khrievitso Kense

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals have reportedly invited 16-year-old Nagaland leg-spinner Khrievitso Kense for bowling trials.

The youngster grabbed the attention of the IPL giants after producing a series of remarkable performances on his domestic debut at the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament held recently in Chennai.

Kense was first invited by the Mumbai Indians (MI) after taking 7 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 5.47 in 4 games during the tournament .

He underwent a 5-day trial with the Mumbai Indians from January 20 to 24 at the Mumbai Reliance Cricket Ground, the result of which is yet to be announced.

Kense will reportedly be leaving for a 2-day trial with the Rajasthan Royals on February 1.

While the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to release the full list of players for the IPL auction, according to Insidesport, there will be some players who will be joining the list from the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Khrievitso Kense is also in the list of players from the Syed Mushtaq Ali Tournament who will be up for grabs in the 2021 auction. Others from the tournament include Avi Barot, Chetan Sakariya, Ashutosh Aman, Kedhar Devdhar, Vivek Singh. The list will be released on February 13.

The player's auction for the 14th season of the IPL will be held on February 18 and all eight teams would be looking to plug the holes in their squad.

Mumbai Indians currently has 7 available slots while Rajasthan Royals has 8 slots.
