Are you satisfied with the way the Govt of Nagaland is addressing 9th IRB atrocities in Chhattisgarh?

Those who said YES had this to say:

•    It is sad and unfortunate that it is in Nagaland mainly that we are debating the so called atrocities of 9 IRB. Unfortunately it is not an issue in Chattisgarh where the atrocities are being committed supposedly. Further, even if there is any action to be taken it has to be by Chattisgarh Government as 9 IRB are presently under their command. It is really sad that civil society views any violations by State forces more seriously and prefers to remain mum on the numerous and frequent atrocities and human rights violations committed by the factions. Zunheboto is a case in point. Civil Society will have to be more responsive and sensitive in the days to come. IRB boys are doing good and some of them have really sacrificed their wall. Let us join hands and support them.

•    Yes, as they went for a cause, they should not expect a bed of roses.

Those who said NO had this to say:

•    The Govt. is taking a lot of things for granted. They should conduct a proper investigation instead of just accepting clarifications

•    Nagas cannot commit such a crime against humanity. We are different by blood, and we Nagas are egalitarian society.

•    ’Cos this present government does not know how or what to do... they are eager only to hoard money.. they don’t think for the benefit of the people.

•    Not at all. The government must be blind to think that the Chhattisgarh police would give a report that will say that the Naga police is guilty. Obviously the Chhattisgarh police will only praise the Naga police. What is required is an independent enquiry.

•    No, I am not satisfied with the response of the Nagaland. Instead of taking steps to find the truth, they are suppressing the truth and how can they even think that the Chhattisgarh police will say the truth. They are part of the problem.

•    I’m not satisfied. Govt. shouldn’t address anything in the case of IRB. Mad dogs can’t be cured in any way.

•    Not at all. At this rate, even if a cyclone hits Chhattisgarh and destroys it, NLG may still deny unless informed by Chhattisgarh DGP!

•    The govt has made no proper response to this issue whatsoever. So far I have only read the CM say ‘they’re only allegations.’ Silence is golden but not necessarily in this kind of situation! Perhaps, the govt is silent because the ‘allegations’ are just genuine. Instead of tiring their poor brains cooking up some defensive stories, if the reports are indeed true, they should concede – for once!

•    So long as Naga people are under yoke of oppressor no govt can do as per democratic norm. Let the Naga people realize and remember the living God who redeemed the people of Israel from the bondage of Egyptian.
•    No, I feel that the govt is hiding facts.

Those who said MAYBE had this to say:

•    It’s so thoughtful of Nagaland govt to have sent IRB to Chhattisgarh. The concept and the mission is supposed to bring about good news and not bad. My question is why is Nagaland Govt wasting human resources and money if u cannot excel it. I blame the seniors of IRB in Chhattisgarh for neglecting their duty and lacking the sense of humanity. And as far as stealing dogs and cats is concerned, it’s just typically Naga!!!!!!
