Dimapur, May 26 (MExN): Under the "Meri Life Initiative" Assam Rifles organized various initiatives at Mokokchung and Dimapur. On May 26, the families of the forces conducted a donation drive, distributing household items, clothes, stationary, shoes and other essential food items to Care and Support(Orphanage) Home, Chungtia, Mokokchung. A total of 39 children of Care and Support (Orphanage) Home were benefitted in this donation drive, a press statement said.
At Christian Mission Higher Secondary School, Diphupar, Dimapur a seminar on "Healthy Lifestyle Adoption" to raise awareness about healthy living and its benefits was held at the school premises. The event witnessed the participation of troops of Asssm Rifles, 14 teachers & 250 students. It began with an interaction with senior officials wherein emphasis on the importance of good diet, physical & mental health well being was discussed.
Meanwhile a security meeting at Fakim village, Kiphire District, was conducted by the Assam Rifles with the village authorities on 26 May. The agenda of the meeting was to analyse the prevailing security situation in the village and foster cordial relation between Assam Rifles and villagers.
