ATMA Jalukie inaugurates farm schools

JALUKIE, JULY 23 (MExN): ATMA Jalukie block under Peren district inaugurated Banana Farm School at Jalukie town on June 28. The farm school was inaugurated by Dileu Nsarangbe, District Horticulture officer and Convenor ATMA Jalukie block, a release said. Concept of farm school was highlighted by Aola Tzudir, BTM. Pauchikap was appointed as the farm school teacher. Training and demonstration on establishment of banana orchard and field management was organised on June 30.  

Resource person Ibotui, Horticulture Extension Assistant, Peren spoke on the importance of banana in India. He also imparted knowledge about the suitable soil type, land preparation and planting material in banana farming.  

ATMA Jalukie block also inaugurated a Poultry Farm School at Samzuiram village, Peren district. The farm school was inaugurated by Dileu, Horticulture officer and Convenor ATMA, Jalukie block.  

Neilhalung Kamei was appointed as the farm school teacher. Training on poultry rearing for supplementary income- self employment on June 29 at Samzuiram village was also conducted. The programme was chaired by Aola Tzudir, BTM. Resource person Isapeule, ATM spoke on the maintenance of poultry farm. She also trained the farmers on vaccinations vitamin supplements, parasite management and safe enclosure of chickens.
