Wokha, July 15 (MExN): A two day spiritual programme under the theme “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge (Proverbs 1:7)” began on July 13 at Bailey Baptist College (BBC) Wokha, with
Dr Moanungsang, principal, Witter Bible College (WTC) Vankhosung; Rev Thungrio Khuvung, Pastor, Wokha Town Baptist Church (WTBC); Samuel Ovung, Asst. pastor, WTBC and R Bithungo Ovung, Chaplain, BBC as the resource persons.
A press release issued by the Associate Professor, BBC, Wokha stated that Rev Thungrio Khuvung, as a resource person urged the congregation to focus on God alone and cautioned the students on the use of modern technology and gadgets. Thungjamo Lotha (Rtd Jt Dir) exhorted the gathering on the importance of hard work and being smart, stressing on the need to work a little harder with politeness and humbleness to bring good life. Thungdeno Mozhui, Project Director DRDA and President Governing body BBC also exhorted the gathering.
The release also added that the day two Spiritual Retreat had 3 services with R Bithungo Ovung, Chaplain BBC, Dr Moanungsang, Principal Witter Bible College, Vankhosung and Samuel Ovung, Asst Pastor, WTBC as the speakers. The speakers dwelled extensively on the messages of Knowing God; Benefits on the fear of God; the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge and Christian's responsibilities.
