As part of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra 2.0, Rahul Gandhi and his entourage reached Wokha on January 16, after crossing over and addressing well-wishers and supporters at Tseminyu. 

After a brief halt in Longsa Village, the team proceeded towards Wokha town to address the public gathered in the main town area, making a short stop for autographs and a quick photo session with the teachers and students of Fernbrook School, Wokha.

While addressing the mammoth gathering in the main town area of Wokha, he stated that the idea of the yatra is to bring together all religions, cultures, and communities, irrespective of social, religious, political, and economic differences, and also to stand for justice.

After Wokha Town, the yatra proceeded towards Chukitong town to spend the night. The yatra will resumes on January 17 and heads towards VK Town under Zunheboto district. The third-day itinerary includes a stopover in Mokokchung, Chuchuyimlang, and Chantongya on January 17, before halting for the night in Tuli Town.
