The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nagaland today organised a two-wheeler rally in Kohima, commemorating 80th India Independence Day under the theme “Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra.”
The rally was flagged off by Higher Education & Tourism minister Temjen Imna Along from Eco Park, Kohima in the presence of Er Kropol Vitsu, Advisor, Prisons and Printing & Stationery, Kuputo Shohe, chairman, Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation Limited (NSMDC), and several other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said, “On the 80th Independence Day commemoration, Nagaland also participates in the amplification of honoring our nation with this tricolour being the symbol of national integration, tricolour being the symbol of our pride, tricolour being the symbol of our very own citizen or being a citizen of the nation.”
Let this tricolour be the pride of each and every citizen of our state too, he said and called upon each and every person to carry the tricolour with pride.
Eduzu Theluo, BJP state vice president and convenor Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra Committee said that the event aimed to pay respect to National flag and also to promote the spirit of patriotism.
