Medziphema, July 16 (MExN): Blended Colours Cricket Club won the Medziphema Sixers Tournament by defeating Runner’s Up Yokohama Club in the finals by 4 wickets. The final match was played at the Govt. Higher Secondary School, Ground, Medziphema Town on July 14.
Batting first after winning the toss, Yokohamas were all bowled out for only 35 runs in their allotted 6 overs due to disciplined bowling attack lead by Blended Colours’ Chubatemsu Ozukum who claimed 3 wickets in his 1 over.
In reply, Blended Colours achieved the target with 7 balls to spare with Kumzung topping the score with 21 runs.
The tournament was organized by the Blue Birds Cricket Club, Medziphema Town.
All together seven teams participated in the sixers tournament which included Frolics, Riders, Coachers, Blue Birds, Titans, Yokahama and Blended Colours. The players of the winning team included Chubatemsu, Suponglemba, Arong, Kumzung, Moatemjen and Sentilong Ozukum.
