KOHIMA, OCTOBER 11 (MExN): Chosen Baptist Church (CBC), Kohima, organised a three-day “The Light Crusade” from October 9 to 11 at the State Academy Hall, Kohima, under the theme, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of light” (James 1:17, NKJV).

At the culmination service on October 11, Bishal Thapa, pastor of Chosen Baptist Church, spoke on God’s goodness, grace and divine guidance as perfect gifts. He said the theme served as a reminder of God’s unchanging goodness and the importance of acknowledging Him as the source of every blessing.

He called on the congregation to walk in the light while remaining connected to the Giver, described in the biblical verse as the Father of Light. The programme was chaired by Petekhrietuo Mechülho. The crusade featured worship, prayer, biblical teaching, fellowship and musical presentations, with the aim of encouraging spiritual renewal and growth in faith.

The Immanuel Praise Team led the call to worship, while Thsitila Thonger and Salenthong Khevazüklü conducted the Bible readings. Special musical presentations were made by the Youth Worship Center, Flames of Fire Baptist Church, Neikho Kaimo, Thejangutuo Thevo and Voice of Faith.

A life testimony was shared by Tsalichum Thongrü, while Gwanye Kesen led the offertory prayer.

The three-day gathering concluded on October 11, with the church reaffirming its commitment to worship, fellowship, evangelism and spiritual growth.
