Kohima, September 29 (MExN): Nagaland CM has mourned the demise of V Zao, IPS (Retd.) who passed away on September 28 at Jakhama.
Zao began his Government service as Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Nagaland Police Service as an upright and dedicated officer and served in various capacities and departments till his release from service as DIG in 1966. “Though he is no more with us, and his absence will be greatly felt, we are grateful to God for the wonderful and loving person he was,” the CM stated while conveying condolences to the bereaved family members.
The Angami Public Organization (APO) in its condolence stated that Zao was an honest and upright police officer who gave his best of service throughout his career and retired as the DIG. Thereafter, knowing the magnanimity of his personality, the APO utilised his service as treasurer and then as the President from 2003-2005. Vipose Zao was a gem of his time who never compromised with falsehood. In his death the Angami people will be deeply missing an octogenarian whose rich legacy will continue to inspire us, stated APO.
