CMHS Wokha celebrates Golden Jubilee

Wokha, December 13 (MExN): The Christian Model High School (CMHS) Wokha on December 13 observed its Golden Jubilee under the theme “Arise and shine in God’s faithfulness” with Dr Chumben Murry MLA  & Advisor Law and Justice as the special guest.

Addressing the event, he said that the jubilee is a time to retrospect on the past, to keep counting the precious thing that had been accomplished, and to be calculative on things yet to be done. Dr Murry also appreciated the CMHS’s managing staff and teachers over the years and noted that due to their efforts, the institution is celebrating the milestone.

He also lauded the present administrations, proprietor and headmasters for restoring the institution in terms of infrastructure development of the school as well as delivering good results in the recent past. 

The Advisor further noted that though the Naga society has evolved and literacy rate has risen immensely, there were much more room for improvement.

Education should result in crystallisation of adoption of certain principles such as ethics, integrity, responsibility, respect for laws, respect for other people’s rights, work loving and to strive for investment, punctuality etc, he said. 

According to him, those qualities refine and determine education and urged the teaching faculty to imbibe them to their students so as to deliver the true meaning of education.

Dr Murry He also wished the institution to produce good leaders of tomorrow and also released the CMHS’s Golden Jubilee souvenir.

Meanwhile, sharing on the theme, Rev Dr Imchayanger Walling, Senior Pastor Ao Revival Church Dimapur said that every individual need to rise up from failures, discouragements, shortcoming, weaknesses and hindrances from blessing, by looking to God on what He can do for them.

He challenged the congregation to rise for a greater height and achievement and not to let their failure be a source of discouragement but to let in the grace of God which will make them humble for more blessings. 

Earlier, Zanao Mozhui, Pastor LBCD dedicated the jubilee monolith while address was delivered by Serena Murry, Administrator CMHS.
