Condolences offered to Monalisa Changkija's family

Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): Media organizations in Nagaland as well as others today expressed condolences at the passing away of Bendangtoshi Longkumer, Managing Director, NIDC & OSD, Industries & Commerce and husband of Nagaland Page Editor, Monalisa Changkija. He passed away on November 7 in New Delhi.  

CM: The Chief Minister while expressing grief and pain over the demise remembered Bendangtoshi as a sincere, friendly and peace-loving man. “He served the Government with dedication and his immense contribution as a fair, efficient and charismatic bureaucrat will ever be cherished,” the CM stated in a message.  

CAPI: The Editor and staff of CAPI prayed that God grant comfort, strength and peace to the bereaved family and the departed soul rest in peace.  

DPC: The Dimapur Press Club (DPC) expressed shock and grief at the demise of Bendangtoshi, father of DPC member Tasungtetla. It conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to God to grant eternal peace to the departed soul.  

Eastern Mirror: The Editor and staff of Eastern Mirror remembered the deceased as “a public servant who went out of his way to do anything possible to improve the economic conditions of the state.” As an officer tasked with vital economic development responsibilities, his personal capacity and vocational leadership pursued growth of the industrial sector and entrepreneurship, they added.  

KPC: The Kohima Press Club (KPC) meanwhile expressed sadness and prayed that God will grant solace to the family and also the departed soul will rest in eternal peace.  

MPC: Mokokchung Press Club (MPC) in a condolence message conveyed sadness. “We understand the great role that Late Bendangtoshi Longkumer, as the husband of Editor and Publisher, Monalisa Changkija, had supported as a partner, an intellect, an officer and also a husband towards the growth of Nagaland Page and also towards the development of the fourth estate in Nagaland as a supportive husband and also as an officer in the Government of Nagaland,” it said.  

Nagaland Post: Expressing shock and sadness at the sudden demise of Bendangtoshi, Nagaland Post Editor & staff stated, “As a dedicated and sincere officer, late Bendangtoshi’s contribution towards the state’s development was monumental, which will always be remembered by all.”  

NPA: Nagaland Press Association (NPA) also conveyed shock and sadness at the demise. The Association prayed for comfort and strength of the bereaved family members. “Words are not enough to tell how much the media fraternity in Nagaland and beyond are pained at this loss of a friend and well-wisher. We will miss the love and warmth that Bendang shared with our fraternity members,” it added.  

Tir Yimyim: The Editor & staff of Tir Yimyim stated Bendangtoshi was dedicated government officer and friendly with everyone. “He was a gentleman who was humble and sensitive to the needs of others. We will miss his warm company and innovative ideas that we shared together,” they said in a message.  

BJP: BJP Nagaland state wished that the Lord Almighty God will grant comfort, strength and peace to the bereaved family and their near and dear ones during this difficult time.  

The above organizations offered sympathy and condolences to Monalisa Changkija and her family and prayed that God will grant them comfort and solace.
