CYF holds 12th biennial general conference

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 14 (MExN): The Chakhesang Youth Front held its 12th biennial general conference on December 13 and 14 at Bade village Dimapur. 

The general conference was graced by Neiba Kronu, Minister for Planning and co-ordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Nagaland as the Guest Speaker on December 14. 

In his speech he challenged the present generation to wake up from their slumber and work and contribute for developing the society. Apprising the youth of the developed countries of the world he urged the Chakhesang youth to start adopting the work culture of them. With Naga solution at hand he encouraged the youth to keep working and doing what they are doing for their livelihood, and shouldn’t let solution hinder us in our works. He demanded the youth to contribute what they are capable of to the society. 

He further briefed the policies of the Government of Nagaland under the leadership of Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio in empowering the youth to sustain their livelihood and not depending only on Government jobs.

Mikha Kenye, President Chakhesang Public Organisation in his greetings highlighted the imposition of ban on various activities in protecting and preserving the wildlife and eco system of the community. He requested the youth not to lose the spirit and love of Patriotism and Nationalism. 

Kevechutso Doulo, the first President of CYC and Chairman NEPED Govt. of Nagaland exhorted the youth to continue to stand united irrespective of the differences in safeguarding the society. He briefed the establishment of CYF and thanked the pioneers who had contributed for the society. He warned the youth to beware of the social media which has conquered all the platforms of the society and refrain from spreading rumours which creates division among the people.

Vetsurayi Tetseo, Vice President CYF chaired the general conference. Rev. Dr. V. K Nuh invoked the blessings of God. Welete Kapfo, Advisor presented the new office bearers for the tenure 2019-2021 and Rev. Dr. Weyiete Lohe, Sr. Pastor Chakhesang Baptist Church Prayed for them. Rukuvo Sakhamo, Organizing Seceretary, CYF proposed the words of gratitude. Rev. Bonny Resu, pronounced the benediction. 

The new team of CYF office bearers for the tenure 2019-2021 will be led by Lhuvesayi Lohe as     President, Vetsurayi Tetseo and Ate Kapfo as Vice Presidents; and Nyitso Therieh as General Secretary.

Earlier Dr. Chotisuh Sazo, Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly Govt. of Nagaland graced the occasion as the Inaugural Speaker on December 13. He challenged the youth to adopt the culture of working hard for survival in this competitive world. Portraying the work culture of the advanced countries of the world he pointed out that “we should also come out from our comfort zone and strive for our dreams in developing the society.”

Kezhienyi Khalo, Member, Nagaland Legislative Assembly also graced the session and urged the youth to be in the forefront leading the society with their talents and ability whenever required.

Vipa Domeh, Joint secretary CYF chaired the Inaugural session.  Rev. Dr. Chekroveyi Cho-o, Professor OTS, invoked the blessings of God to proceed with the session. Ate Kapfo, Vice President delivered the welcome address. Dietho Rhakho, Presisdent Western Chakhesang Hoho delivered words of greetings. Rev. Senokhape Losou pronounced the benediction to end the inaugural session.
