Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): The Power Department today informed that it will be carrying out maintenance work for shifting of existing 11 kV lines as well as LT lines to the newly constructed trunk lines in and around Dimapur town for the period from August 20 to 31 in a phase manner.
The department listed out the full schedule of the works to be carried out and the areas to be affected (See Table). “Further notice will be updated from time to time, hence consumers are requested to keep note of the timing,” it stated.
Power supply shutdown today
In a separate press release, the department informed that it will carry out power shutdown of 33 kV Supermarket feeder from 3:00 am to 8:00 am on August 19. This is being done to shift 33 kV lines from damaged poles to the tower at Phaipijan. The colonies affected will include Half Nagarjan, Kuda Village, Supermarket, Rajbari, Imkonlengden, Ura Villa, Mao, United, Bank and Police colony.
Currently, the Department is carrying out shifting works of old 11 kV and LT lines to the newly constructed 11 kV trunk lines along Supermarket and Nagarjan road. Press releases were made in local dailies for information and preparedness of affected consumers i.e. Half Nagarjan area, Kuda village, Supermarket area, United and Mao colony, the department said.
It assured that the department is expediting completion of the shifting work at the earliest. On completion, consumers of the area will enjoy stability of power, the department said.
