Dimapur, December 4 (MExN): The Dimapur Police on Sunday recovered an unidentified dead body. The Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime) & PRO, Dimapur, Nagaland in a press release informed, on December 3, at around 2300 hrs, a written railway memo was received from the Station Master, Railway Station, Dimapur at Government Railway Police Station (GRPS), Dimapur that one non-local male age around 40-45 years (approx) was found lying dead in KM NO-260/8 between Dimapur to Khatkhati end.
Accordingly, the duty party rushed to the PO site and found an unidentified dead body lying outside the rail track, injured lacerated wound on the fore head and vertex region. “Inquest conducted over the dead body and it is highly suspected that the deceased was run over by a running train. On completion of all legal formalities the dead body has been shifted to District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination and identification,” the PRO added.
The deceased was wearing pink coloured t-shirt and stripe black and white pant. Claimants, relatives, friends of the deceased have been requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge, GRPS, Dimapur @7085055021.
