Becomes second in country to cover all districts
Kohima, July 17 (MExN): District Magistrate dashboard (https://nl.dmdashboard.nic.in/) for Nagaland was launched through video conferencing on July 17 by Chief Secretary, Temjen Toy, IAS at Chief Secretary's Office.
According to a DIPR report, District Magistrate Dashboard is an online tool which will help the deputy Commissioner/district administration in monitoring and to analyze implementation of high priority Government schemes, programmes and projects in the District. This Dashboard reflects the performance and achievements on a day-to-day basis. It has also been made available to the citizens to view and track all the performance of certain schemes like Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin (SBM), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), MGNREGA and Soil Health Card etc.
The District Magistrate Dashboard currently has 14 Sectors, 17 Departments and 53 Projects onboard. Out of which, few projects are centrally fed through online web services and the rest through offline mode.
DARPAN, a dashboard for Analytical Review of Projects Across Nation, transform complex Government data into compelling visuals. It gives the district administration a tool, which is needed to deliver the real-time, dynamic project monitoring without coding or programming through web services.
The Chief Secretary, in his remark, said that Nagaland District Magistrate dashboard is the second in the country to cover all the districts. He stated that the world is changing and this launching of online DM dashboard tool will help the DC in monitoring and analysing the performance of the districts. He mentioned that Deputy Commissioner being the chairman of many communities and organisations in the District should keep tag and monitor the activities of various departments because unless the department in the District performs, the performance of the State cannot move ahead.
He also appealed to the DC to make full use of the DM dashboard, which will help them save lot of time and give them a clear picture of what is happening in the District and in order to get proper real time update of relevant information.
Deputy Director General and NIC Nagaland coordinator, NIC Hqr, New Delhi, Dr. Kishore Kumar in his opening remark stated that with the support of State Government the NIC is able to extend connectivity to all the districts & government officials in Nagaland and implement the application. He said that this application will help the DC to monitor the ongoing projects and implementation.
He further appraised that NIC team will give full support in providing technical support in implementing e-governance application in the State to strengthen digital India.
Altogether, nine districts participated through Video Conferencing. This dashboard is designed, developed and hosted by National Informatic Centre, Ministry of Electronics &Information Technology, GoI. The contents on this website is published, managed and owned by the respective departments.
