Cautions against selling of supply, MDM rice in Mon HQ
Dimapur, October 26 (MExN): The Mon Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) today informed all the business establishments in Mon Headquarter not to “pay any illegal taxes/donation.”
If any person is collecting force donation, demand and extortion, then report immediately to the MCCI Office HQ Mon, the Chamber said in a press release issued by its General Secretary & Administration Uno SN.
The MCCI further informed all the shop owners not to sell liquor and opium and stated that it will not be responsible if any eventualities as a result of such practices in near future.
It also informed the Additional District Supply Officer, all the Block SK, all the VDBs, Coordinator SSA Mon in-charge and all the Fair Price Shops Mon District not to sell supply rice and MDM rice in the market.
If such rice is found in selling in a shop from any of the aforesaid account, action will be taken as per the law, it added.
Meanwhile, the MCCI also informed that it will be holding its General Meeting-Cum 6th Foundation Day Programme on December 1 at Council Hall Mon HQ, from 1PM.
All the business establishment of Mon HQ are requested to attend the meeting programme without fail. Business establishments from Tizit, Naginimora, Aboi and Tobu Town are also invited to attend the programme.
Businessmen from Mon HQ are further informed to clear membership fees for 2017-18 on or before November 25. The three category of membership are:-Rs. 300/- for big shop, Rs. 200/- for Medium Shop and Rs. 100/- for small shop.
