The most interesting things happen at doorways; at the borders, right along the edges.

Ancient fishermen learnt to sail where the warm water met the cold. The little fish would reach the edge of the warm water and they would stop; and the big fish would come out of the cold water and eat them. And the fishermen, well, they caught all of them. Doorways!

In the intricate tapestry of human interaction, conversations serve as doorways to new realms of understanding. They are the portals where minds converge, and ideas collide, ushering in profound transformations. It is important to explore the metaphorical power of doorways in conversations, especially at the edge where conflicts arise, and discover how they hold the key to vital transformations.

Just as doorways mark transitions between spaces, conversations mark transitions between perspectives. It is at the edge of these dialogues, where ideas meet and clash, that the most interesting and transformative moments unfold. Like standing at the precipice of a threshold, we find ourselves confronted with the choice to step into the unknown or retreat to the safety of what we already know.

In today's world, the edge of conversations has become a symbol of conflict and disagreement. Ideological divisions, social tensions, and cultural differences bring us to these doorways where the clash of perspectives can be intense. Yet, it is precisely at these thresholds that the potential for growth and transformation resides.

When conversations reach the point of a doorway, it becomes vital to embrace them rather than shy away. These moments hold the power to break down barriers, challenge preconceptions, and foster empathy and understanding. By engaging in meaningful dialogue, we can bridge the gaps that separate us, forging new paths towards unity and collective progress.

To embrace the power of these conversations, we must cultivate an open mind and a willingness to listen. It is at the edge where our perspectives are tested, where we encounter discomfort and uncertainty. But it is precisely at this threshold that growth and understanding can flourish. By engaging in respectful, empathetic, and honest conversations, we can transcend conflict and chart a path towards collective transformation.

As we read the news from our immediate surroundings, a recognition of such doorways as opportunities for transformative dialogue is even more important in societies like ours, especially at a time when conflicts abound in our societal and cultural doorsteps.
