Delhi Public School (DPS), Dimapur celebrated the outstanding academic accomplishments of the school and honoured its top student achievers in the AISSCE examination on May 20.
Dimapur, May 20 (MExN): The Delhi Public School (DPS), Dimapur celebrated the outstanding academic accomplishments of the school and honoured its top student achievers in the AISSCE examination on May 20. The event, held in the assembly hall, drew gathering of students, parents, teachers, and board members of the school, stated a press release received here.
Recording another academic year of 100% pass percentage, a total of 157 students cleared the examination out of which 154 students secured 1st Division and 3 students secured 2nd division.
Ruokuosenuo of Humanities stream topped the school result with 95.2%, while Aryan Jain and Kudukho Pukhomai scored the highest percentage from Science and Commerce Stream with 94% and 93.8% respectively. Altogether 87 students securing 80% and above were felicitated. The topper of the school received a cash award of Rs 25,000 and 20 students securing 90-94.2% received Rs 15,000 each. Certificates of excellence were also awarded to students scoring 80% and above. In recognition of the outstanding academic achievements, certificates of 100% scholarships on Tuition Fees for higher education by Geeta University, Panipat, Delhi NCR were also handed over to Ruokuosenuo and Kudukho Pukhomai.
While congratulating the student achievers, Principal, Anurodh Chitra, emphasised the significance of hard work, perseverance in the pursuit of excellence. He also cited the six steps of John Maxwell in his book Intentional Living that students may “find their position of comfort and confidence” as they prepare to embark on new adventures.
Dr Aotoshi, Pro- Vice Chairman of the school while extending congratulatory wishes on behalf of the local management of the school and Delhi Public School Society, thanked the parents and teachers for the collective effort in nurturing the students. Emphasizing the school’s commitment to the shared vision of surpassing today’s achievements by tomorrow, he encouraged the student achievers to overcome all obstacles and excel. He urged them to be ambassadors of DPSD, demonstrating through their performances rather than utterances, that the school is a formidable force that has shaped them into who they are today.
Highlights of the event included the presentation of awards by SI Jamir, Chairman of the school, Maronen, Treasurer, Dr Aotoshi and Anurodh Chitra to students who demonstrated exceptional academic performance.
