Emporium Training & Consultancy opens branch in Dimapur

Putting thrust to impart free skilled training to unemployed youths in the line of aviation and hospitality, Emporium Training & Consultancy, a leading registered Vocational Training Provider (VTP) has earlier opened its branch in Dimapur this June. It is funded by the State Labour & Employment department under the national flagship Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) programme.  

As per the target set by the state government, it is currently training 220 candidates at a quarter, which runs for a duration of three months. It aims to train 880 candidates in a financial year.  

Talking to Anirban Mukherjee, Operations Manager, he said that prior to setting up a training centre here in Dimapur, from 2013 candidates from the state were trained in Kolkata will full expenditures on accommodation, food and travelling along with training fees for the trainees bore by the government. “Till date 96% of the trainees have been successfully placed across India and overseas,” he informed.  

“A direct walk-in interview this month has successfully placed 71 candidates to the Oberoi, Mumbai, Jet Airways and Spicejet for Cabin Crew. All our training modules are aligned with National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF),” he added.  

Emporium Training & Consultancy is under Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India. It is also registered under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY), North East Rural Livelihood Project (NERLP), Tourism and Hospitality Sector Skill Council (THSC), Aviation & Aerospace Sector Skill Council (AASSC) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and empanelled in almost all the states of North-East and other states in the country.  

“Trained candidates will be placed in world class airlines, five star hotels and cruises in India and overseas with good salary package and other incentives,” he said.   While also, with the help and support of the Airport Director, Dimapur, M Zhimo, trainees have being given the opportunity to undergo an Airport Familiarization Training to get training on airport functions.  

Pointing that the training has attracted many graduates and post-graduates, he stated that only a minimum qualification of 10 passed is required for availing the free training.  

Boarding facility which will also extend opportunity and attract candidates from other parts of the states will, very soon be provided and till date, all trainees are day scholars, Anirban Mukherjee, Operations Manager further informed.  

The training centre has also recruited trainers from Nagaland with working experience from other national and global companies like the jet airways, Hotel Oberoi, ITC, Hilton. He also asserted that Nagas who were earlier trained under them and placed in reputed companies are now working in Dimapur branch as trainers.  

Emporium has MOUs signed with recruiting companies to assure job security to the trainees. It also keeps track of the trained candidates for upto a year after training.  

He further assured that training centers will be extended to the districts of Mokokchung and Kohima very soon while seminar and counseling in different colleges in Nagaland specially for final year students which is being undertaken is gathering a positive response, he added.
