Eastern Nagaland People’s Union Dimapur held its 28th General Session at Konyak Paan, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur on February 24.
Dimapur, February 26 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland People’s Union Dimapur (ENPUD) held its 28th General Session with W Manpai Phom NCS, Administrator Dimapur Municipal Council as special guest, at Konyak Paan, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur on February 24.
The Media Cell of ENPUD in a press release stated, speaking at the function, W Manpai Phom pointed out that Eastern people residing in Dimapur have access to modern facilities and better infrastructure, unlike our fellow people leaving in villages. Therefore, he encouraged the gathering to break free from the “Backward” tag mentality and strive to move forward not only in competitive exams but in every aspect.
While thanking the outgoing team for their sacrifices made towards cause of the people, he urged upon them to continue to support the new team of office bearers.
The new team of office bearers was inducted for the tenure 2024-2027 led by President-NT Thamlong; Vice Presidents- C.Chingden, Thsakyuse and Peniang P; General Secretary-M Kumchuba; Finance Secretary- TC Chuba; Media Secretary-S Donan; and Treasurer-Muthingnyuba.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by C Kiuthsang Yimkhiung and Likhumla Sangatam, invocation prayer by Yokkai Pastor Konyak Baptist fellowship, Borlengri, keynote and welcome address by L Shahoto, President, special number by Chang Student’s Union Dimapur and Tinglei Konayk, Finance report by QL Thronghokiu, Auditor, general report and resolution adoption by T Yato Konyak, General Secretary, prayer for the new team by pastors of 7 tribal churches, vote of thanks by T Sepipa Sangtam, Vice President, ENPUD and benediction by Pungom, Associate Pastor Khiamniungan Baptist Church Dimapur, followed by cultural performances by Phom male troupe and Tikhire women cultural troupe.
