Kohima, June 10 (MExN): Youth Resources and Sports advisor Er. Zale Neikha while expressing serious concern for development of sporting infrastructure and also welfare of sportspersons in the State inspected the ongoing construction works of Multi Disciplinary Sports Complex (MDSC) and also visited sports hostel in Dimapur yesterday.
During his visit to the sports hostel, Neikha interacted with the hostellers and listened to their grievances. He assured the hostellers that their grievances would be addressed without further delay.
He was accompanied by YR&S Director Imtirenla Jamir along with department officers and coaches of various disciplines. The team also inspected the ongoing construction of Football Stadium at MDSC Dimapur which is considered as the biggest and most important project of YR&S department.
The contractor apprised the advisor that the construction would be completed in three years time if payment is released on time. However, the contractor requested the advisor to approve certain components against the project which are not incorporated in the DPR.
In this, the advisor while asserting to take up the matter with the appropriate higher authority for timely completion of the project also expressed that completion of the MDSC would enable Nagaland to host the national level competitions without any hindrance.
