Gospel Voice Hunt Competition Mon

Leye Konyak of Students Ministry KBBB and P Tanwang Konyak of Tompang ward have emerged as the winner of 1st Gospel Voice Hunt Competition organized by GBC, Mon Youth Music Ministry.


The Gospel Voice Hunt Competition Organized by Gorkha Baptist Church Mon Youth Music Ministry under the theme "Sing to the Lord" was held at GBC Mon church on October 12. 


The event was organized with a focus of giving platform to the Gospel singers who can preach gospel through songs and worships.


Its principal aim was to nurture and provide contestants to develop their music skills.


The Music Ministry also aimed to make use of Music to strengthen friendship and to bridge the gap between various communities of Mon Town. 


This was the First time the community of Gorkha at Mon town took initiative of organising singing competition for singers.


The programme was graced by MH Daniel, Administrator of Sacred Heart school Mon who in his speech encouraged each participant to worship God with their talents. He also urged the youths of this generation to be well equipped with good music and to glorify God's kingdom.


The Voice Hunt included special performance from GBC Mon Youths; also a mesmerizing performance by the judges of The Gospel Voice Hunt—Chinglang Konyak, Founder n Director of  Mon school of Music  and Shelao Kheang, the winner of ITF&E singing Competition, 2019  the judges of Voice Hunt gave their good  performance. 


Ayong Konyak, drummer of Toxic Peace Band Mon was also in the three judges panel for the competition.


Sponsor for the prize money of the event was Amen Konyak who sponsored the cash prize for the champion, while the runners up cash prize were sponsored by Bonnie Konyak, District Program Manager (NHM). 


All together 30 contestants from Mon Town took part in the event.
