After two disappointing opening games in the Gothia Cup, the under-15 girl’s team Sports Club (SC) Nagaland today secured a 2-2 draw in their last match against Swedish team Ahus IF.
Things looked bleak for the team from Nagaland, as Ahus IF had managed to build up a two goal lead by the fifth minute of the game. However, SC Nagaland managed to come back with two goals in the second half. SC Nagaland’s first goal came in the 46th minute, followed by the equalizer in the 52nd minute, enabling them secure a point at the end of the group stages.
The under-15 girls team had previously lost to Vasteras BK30 3-0 and against IF Brommapojkar 14-0, eliminating them from group 22 of the Gothia Cup, which is being held in Gothenburg.
