People browse through cane and bamboo products at the hands on workshop and exhibition on skill exchange and design diversification at Naga Shopping Arcade, Dimapur on May 3.

DIMAPUR, MAY 3 (MExN): A two-day hands on workshop and exhibition on skill exchange and design diversification of natural fibre, cane and bamboo product got underway at the Naga Shopping Arcade, Dimapur.
The workshop cum exhibition is jointly organized by the Chingthur Foundation and Kingniu Village Council, Noklak District and sponsored by ActionAid Association, a press release issued by the Chingthur Foundation stated.
At the inaugural, Rev. Dingshungngamang Kamei, Executive Director, Chingthur Foundation welcomed the esteemed guests, partners, and participants.
The workshop and exhibition is aimed to promote sustainable development and support local communities by celebrating the beauty and versatility of natural materials and exploring innovative ways of using them to create high-quality, marketable products, Rev. Kamei highlighted.
Craft persons from Kingniu village, Noklak district, Sisterhood Network, Dimapur, and Nalbari, Assam are participating in the event. Rehena and Nayan represented the Regional Office, ActionAid Association, Guwahati. Rehena inaugurated the opening of the event by cutting the ribbon.
During the two-day event, participants will have the opportunity to learn from each other, share their experiences, and collaborate on new projects.
